Skills: Branding & Illustration
There are very few times, fortunately, that we don't get to see a brand implementation. Designers tend to avoid showcasing non-approved projects, but we wanted to share this brand with you all because we're very proud of the result. We're talking about the Real Jardín Botánico de Madrid. They called us to renew the whole institutions' identity with the objective to attract a younger audience and broadcast a living museum image, so we worked with mono-spaced typographies that reminded us to printed museum entries. We also chose a wide color palette, escaping from the typical botanical greens, based on the color studies of Tadeo Haenke's botany. For the symbol, we worked on the simplest way to represent three leaves, a crown, and a museum entrance door. Deconstructing the symbol we generated a new iconography and brand illustration style. We love the result, we love it so much that we felt it was right to share it with you all although it will never be seen in the Real Jardín Botánico.
